Indonesian Engineers Association Assists 50 Vocational Students and Graduates to Intern in Hungary

A total of 50 vocational students and graduates were successful in carrying out internship programs at GĂ©mtech and Bio Fungi, one of the leading companies in Hungary. This was made possible with the help and support of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) and Markija Berdaya.

Chairman of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), Heru Dewanto in his speech said that “Vocational workers there are starting to decrease, so they open opportunities from outside the European Union countries. In Indonesia, we have vocational education that is being promoted by the government, so demand and supply meet, thus creating a possible collaboration, where the costs are borne by companies there”.

In addition to getting a salary, the travel expenses of the internship program participants will also be covered by the hosting company.

Furthermore, Heru Dewanto said that PII is currently approaching 10 other companies in Hungary to create greater opportunities for vocational students and graduates who want to take part in internship programs there.

“This is a great opportunity to get to know the international world, international standards, different from industry standards in Indonesia. The goal is to increase the demand for vocational education in Indonesia, increase the volume, so that the government’s mission becomes a reality,” said Heru Dewanto.
