Meeting between Markija, Prohuman, and Continental Hungary with the Director General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education and Culture Ristek RI
On February 13, 2023, Dr. Heru Dewanto as Chairman of Markija together with the Markija Team, Prohuman, Continental Hungary, and Polytechnic/Vocational School Representatives had a meeting with the Director General of Vocational Education, Kemendikbud Ristek RI, Dr. Ir. Kiki Yuliati, M.Sc.,
In this event, Dr. Ir. Kiki Yuliati, M.Sc., expressed her support for the Markija Internship Program, and invited Continental Hungary, one of the companies engaged in the Automotive Industry in Hungary, to collaborate with Markija and the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Kemendikbud Ristek RI to contribute to the development of vocational curriculum. This is expected to help Polytechnics and Vocational Schools in developing a link and match curriculum so as to strengthen the skills and competencies of students in accordance with the needs of industry in Europe.
Furthermore, Dr. Heru Dewanto conveyed the importance of the Markija Internship Program for Vocational students in providing real experience in the industrial world because apprentices are directly involved in the company’s business processes. In addition, the internship program organized by Markija provides real internship opportunities for its candidates. This is because interns do not only conduct training or monitor people who work, but they will go into the field and become part of the business process itself. Thus, students will be able to develop soft skills, one of which is such as responsibility and discipline, and also hard skills that they passionate about. The Markija apprenticeship program is the answer to the needs of vocational education curriculum development in Indonesia.
During this visit, Continental explained about the company profile and the internship needs required, and appreciated the performance of the Markija Interns who were doing their internships at Continental. After this activity, together with Markija and Prohuman, Continental will conduct direct visits to Polytechnics and Vocational Schools and conduct discussions with lecturers and students.
