Markija’s Visit with Prohuman and Continental Hungary to Batam State Polytechnic
On February 14, 2023, Markija together with Prohuman and Continental Hungary visited Batam State Polytechnic in order to discuss internship cooperation for Indonesian vocational students to Europe as well as introduce facilities owned by Batam State Polytechnic.
Continental Hungary is one of the companies engaged in automotive electronics manufacturing located in Budapest and Makó, Hungary. The participation of Continental Hungary in Markija’s visit to Batam State Polytechnic, one of which aims to build cooperation between polytechnics in Indonesia and companies in Hungary so that Indonesian vocational students can experience working in the European industry. This can improve the quality of human resources in Indonesia by adding insight and experience in the wider world of work.
In addition to discussing with the Vice Director and Management of Batam State Polytechnic, Markija together with Prohuman and Continental Hungary visited the facilities owned by Batam State Polytechnic and had a dialogue with students who were working on projects. The visit included visiting the Robotics Workshop Laboratory, Student Technopreneur Center, and TFME (Teaching Factory Manufacturing of Electronics) Building.
At the Robotics Workshop Laboratory, the Markija and Continental Hungary teams were shown a demonstration of the latest robot owned by Batam State Polytechnic. After seeing the robotic demonstration, the whole team moved to the Student Technopreneur Center. The Student Technopreneur Center is the flagship building of Batam State Polytechnic which is used as a collaboration place for students’ creativity in working on projects.
Next, the team headed to the TFME Building. The TFME building contains an SMT (Surface Mount Device) machine that functions to arrange electronic components directly on the surface of PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards). Batam State Polytechnic is the only polytechnic in Indonesia that has such a machine.
The visit was closed by giving a plaque by the Markija Team to the Director of Batam State Polytechnic.
