Universitas Citra Bangsa (UCB) and Markija established a collaboration in the form of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Markija has an internship program in 3 countries: Hungary, Czech Republic and Romania, specifically for students who have majors and abilities that are in accordance with the needs of the European Industry. This collaboration is the first step to provide opportunities for students to carry out internships in Europe and as a form of implementation of the Independent Campus Learning Policy (MBKM). The signing of the collaboration was carried out online on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 which was attended by :
- Prof. Dr. Frans Salesman, SE, M.Kes as Rector of Universitas Citra Bangsa (UCB);
- Heryon Bernard Mbuik, S.PAK, M.PAK as Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni;
- Hadied Safarayuza as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Markija;
- Dr. Ir. Priyono Eko Sanyoto as Director of Markija;
- Bobby Lianto, MM, MBA as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province; and,
- Representatives of Citra Bangsa University, Markija, and other Kadin NTT.
“Markija is a social entrepreneurship in the field of education where students who are selected to take part in the Markija internship program will carry out an internship for 1-2 years, get European standard benefits and facilities, free of charge. The purpose of the Markija internship program is to increase the professional knowledge and international expertise of Indonesian students, this is an added value for students in the future to practice it in Indonesia, “said Hadied Safarayuza as COO Markija.
Prof. Dr. Frans Salesman, SE, M.Kes as Rector of Universitas Citra Bangsa said “With the signing of the MoU between UCB and Markija, it is hoped that this collaboration can continue so as to facilitate students to gain valuable experience directly in the European Industry”.
Heryon Bernard Mbuik, S.PAK, M.PAK as Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni who was also present at the event revealed “With this MoU, it is hoped that it can strengthen collaboration, and UCB can prepare its students to have competencies that are in accordance with industry demand, especially in Europe”.
“Kadin NTT welcomes and supports the collaboration between UCB and Markija. This is in line with the formation of the Vocational Regional Coordination Team (TKDV) in implementing links and matches between the world of education and industry.” Bobby Lianto, MM, MBA as Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province continued.
In facilitating students to do internships in Europe, KADIN Nusa Tenggara Timur, Citra Bangsa University and Markija will work together to inform the needs and capabilities required by industries in Europe, and prepare students to strengthen their abilities in accordance with the competencies needed.
